COVID-19 Response Toolkit
According to UNESCO, the number of children, youth and adults not attending schools or universities due to COVID-19 continues to grow. As of 16th April, 191 countries have implemented nationwide closures, impacting approximately 1.5 billion children and youth – roughly 91.4% of total enrolled learners. This is resulting in untold challenges for schools and their wider communities of teachers, staff, students, parents and caregivers. None of us has faced anything like it before and we are all unsure of how to deal with this situation.
To support schools in the SEED Network and the wider education community as they work through how to effectively deal with the pandemic, SEED has developed this CRISIS RESPONSE TOOKIT in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to help schools deal with the current crisis and school closures drawing lessons from past crises, including the SARS, Zika and Ebola crisis, as we work to build resilience for both the current and future crises.
This is intended to be a ‘living’ toolkit. SEED will continue to add new content and adapt existing content in the public domain that is most relevant for schools. Please note that external tools and resources provided here does not signify an endorsement, nor have we vetted or quality assured any of them. Instead, this is a real-time effort to put all support available in one place to support schools.
